Edit or remove PDF metadata

Every PDF stores hidden details such as its title, author and keywords. The title is what browsers and search engines show for the file, and the author field can reveal your name or your company's software.

View and change these details, or wipe them completely before sharing a document publicly.

How to use it

  1. Add your PDF. Its current title, author, subject and keywords appear in the boxes.
  2. Edit the fields. Change any value, or clear a box to remove it.
  3. Or remove everything. Tick “Remove all metadata” for a clean file.
  4. Click Process and download. The content of the pages isn't changed.

Why metadata matters

  • Better search results. A clear title helps Google show your PDF properly when it's published online.
  • Privacy. Remove author names before sending CVs, tenders or anonymous documents.
  • Professional files. Replace titles like “Document1” with something meaningful.
  • Private by design. Your file is processed inside your own browser. It is never uploaded to a server, so nobody else can see it.
